Our client, with expertise in the food ingredient segment of the Foodservice Industry, is seeking a National Sales Manager in the foodservice segment. This position is remote preferably located in the Western U.S.
The National Sales Manager-Foodservice is the primary sales person for Foodservice, QSR’s and other National Chain Restaurant Accounts.
This position reports directly to the President.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, measure, and modify a go-to- market plan for the foodservice category
- Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with foodservice customers, QSR’s and National Restaurant Accounts.
- Work with fellow Sales Account managers to expand foodservice product offerings to existing customers
- Develop new business with National Restaurant Chains and Foodservice Distributors
- Negotiate contracts and pricing
- Plan and conduct annual customer business review meetings
- Submit sample requests and follow-up with existing customers or potential new customers
- Monitor and analyze trends for potential new products; work with the R&D department to develop new products and packaging to meet customer needs
- Strategize about developing partnerships for existing or new product lines with complementary products and execute plan(s)
- Attend foodservice events and industry trade shows as warranted
- Maintain customer database and filing system
- Update CRM Tool (Hubspot) information and monthly sales forecast projections
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5-7 years’ experience in outside sales with custom ingredient products
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
- National foodservice experience required
- Knowledge of effective sales techniques and methods; experience with developing and delivering customer sales presentations
- Ability to travel up to 33% of the work week, minimum (120 days of travel)
- Demonstrates strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills’ ability to effectively interact with customers, and small or large groups
- Ability to work independently; prioritizes work, meets deadlines and manages multiple projects concurrently
- Demonstrates strong analytical, mathematical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient computer skills required in Microsoft Office; Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook
- Position is remote and located in the Western U.S.

Compensation:
$90,000.00-$110,000.00
